Authorities in Newton County are on the lookout for Addison Poynter, a 15-year-old girl from Covington who has been missing since Wednesday night. The Newton County Sheriff's Office reported that Poynter left a note for her parents before she vanished, stating, "she was going away for a while," as per FOX 5 Atlanta.
Despite efforts, the last confirmed sighting of the teenager was in downtown Blue Ridge on Thursday evening. She is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 130 pounds. The night she disappeared, she was seen wearing pajama pants adorned with yellow ducks, a dark-colored hoodie, and white Crocs. According to Atlanta News First, the Newton County Sheriff's Office is leading a multi-agency search, hoping she might still be found in the Blue Ridge or Fannin County area.
