
Tragedy struck near Chicago's southwest suburbs late Monday night when a solo vehicle accident claimed the lives of three young men and left a fourth seriously injured. According to The Chicago Tribune, the Cook County Sheriff's police responded just before 11 p.m. to a distressing scene near Harlem and 135th Street in Worth Township, where they discovered a 2008 Nissan pickup had veered off the road into a ravine.
Tragically, the driver, aged 26, and a 24-year-old passenger were pronounced dead on location, found unresponsive inside the vehicle. A second 26-year-old passenger, ejected from the truck, was also found unresponsive and later declared deceased, marking a somber night for authorities and the involved families. The lone survivor, another 24-year-old man, was rushed to hastily seek medical care at a local hospital with injuries incurred from the wreckage, per reports by CBS News Chicago.
The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office stated that the fatalities resulted from multiple injuries due to a motor vehicle accident. Denis Trochez, 24, was one of the victims identified, residing on the 7100 block of Laverne Lane in Tinley Park. As authorities work to gently notify the next of kin, details on the other victims remain pending.
