Atlanta is reeling after a deadly shooting on James P. Brawley Drive that left one man dead and another behind bars. The Atlanta Police Department responded to a call at around 8:45 p.m. on January 17, near the Trap House Museum in the Bankhead neighborhood, where they found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound; pronounced dead at the scene, as reported by FOX 5 Atlanta.
In the investigation that ensued, officers spoke with witnesses, gathered evidence, and utilized K-9 units to search the area, the intersection was cordoned off as forensic teams entered a nearby residence, a description of the suspect initially eluded law enforcement but by the following morning, 44-year-old Rafa Ali Chazak was arrested and now faces charges that include murder, aggravated assault, and firearms possession during a felony, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
