Two instances of East Valley teen violence have led to arrests, with the latest reports indicating an 18-year-old is in custody following an attack outside a Gilbert In-N-Out and a 20-year-old man arrested for a separate assault in San Tan Valley.
As per AZFamily, Christopher Fantastic faces felony assault and misdemeanor robbery charges after allegedly assaulting a minor in August at the popular burger chain's location. Although Fantastic has been linked to the 'Gilbert Goons,' a group under the evaluation to be designated as a criminal street gang, the connection remains to be legally substantiated. After a scuffle at a Halloween house party that resulted in the death of 16-year-old Preston Lord, the Gilbert Police Department has stressed that Fantastic's arrest is an "independent and separate" investigation from Queen Creek's probe into Lord's death. Fantastic's bail has been set at $25,000.
In a related development, ABC15 reported that Jacob Pennington has been taken into custody by the Pinal County Sheriff's Office for his alleged involvement in an altercation that took place on November 18 near Wagon Wheel Road and Sun Dance Drive. While the 16-year-old victim sustained only minor injuries, Pennington is facing charges of aggravated assault. Officials suggest that more arrests could be forthcoming relating to this incident.
