Authorities have nabbed a man accused of sparking a bomb scare by placing suspicious items at multiple locations. Jason Andrew Bishop, 52, was arrested and charged with a hoax bomb felony, sending law enforcement on a wild goose chase.
According to a post on X from Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, Bishop allegedly planted these items, leading to a response from the @HCSOSWAT Bomb Techs. Despite Bishop being accused of placing the items intentionally to mislead or terrorize, no actual explosives were found at any of the scenes. The tweet commended the efforts of the Bomb Techs and Investigator R. Hilz for their determined work on the case.

Following numerous calls regarding the suspicious items, the bomb squad technicians showed up in force. They dutifully assessed each scene, ensuring public safety in the face of potential danger. The precise nature of the items placed by Bishop has not been articulated by the Sheriff's office at this time. Residents of the affected areas have expressed relief at the swift action taken by law enforcement.
An investigation has been ongoing since the items were first discovered. Hilz." With the resources brought to bear on the investigation, officials were able to quickly trace the hoax back to Bishop.
