A man was left with serious injuries after a hit-and-run incident in South St. Paul on Saturday evening. According to the South St. Paul Police Department, first responders discovered the victim around 6:30 p.m. on Concord Street, just south of Richmond Street, lying in the road after being struck by an unidentified vehicle. The driver had fled the scene before the authorities arrived, FOX9 reported.
Investigators at the scene determined the man's injuries were consistent with being hit by a car, leaving him in a severe condition as found by the police. He was immediately given emergency aid and then transported to a nearby hospital, where his current condition remains unknown, shared the police department. Minnesota State Patrol is now assisting in the ongoing investigation, attempting to reconstruct the accident to understand the chain of events that led to the incident, according to a CBS News interview.
