The Rec Center is gearing up to transform its Banquet Room into a battleground for the sharpest minds and quickest hands with the Puzzlepalooza Party on February 19. Contestants will duke it out, puzzle piece by puzzle piece, from 10 a.m. to noon in a race against the clock to assemble a 500-piece jigsaw puzzle. The fastest team secures not just bragging rights, but also prizes.

According to the official announcement, spaces are as limited as the number of corners in a jigsaw – so if you've got what it takes, you better hurry up. Teams can consist of up to four players, and everyone aged 12 and older is welcome to jump into the fray. The registration deadline is February 11, or when full, whichever rears its head first.

Locking in your spot on the board will run a team for $35, but that's a small price to pay for the mind-bending challenge that lies ahead. Interested parties can secure their team's place at the official event page. But remember, it's a race against more than just the other teams.

For those about to lock horns over landscapes and cityscapes, it's time to buff up on your puzzle-solving strategies and get your game face ready. This event is about more than just piecing together a pretty picture; it's a test of teamwork, strategy, and the sheer will to claim the top spot. The puzzles are provided, so all you need to bring is your A-game – and maybe a celebratory dance move or two for when your team clinches the win.
