Mission Valley mall is getting a major upgrade with the opening of NOVO Brazil Brewing Company's latest venture, a spanking new brewery restaurant and sports bar. Billed as a high-tech paradise for game watchers, the grand opening is slated for Thursday, January 11. This marks the brewery's first expansion beyond its South Bay roots, with previous successful locations in Chula Vista, Imperial Beach, and Otay Ranch Mall.
The new hotspot occupies a hefty 11,500-square-foot space that once housed Tilted Kilt and neighbors the old haunt of Seau’s, the eatery named for the late, great San Diego Chargers linebacker Junior Seau. According to San Diego Eater, patrons can look forward to an extensive 8,000-square-foot dining area, a 40-seat bar, and a 3,500-square-foot patio complete with cozy fire pits.
In true NOVO Brazil fashion, the menu is set to combine familiar bar classics like chicken wings with a taste of Brazil, boasting dishes such as empanadas and prime sirloin skewers. Beer lovers will be greeted with 64 taps featuring the brewery's full line of beverages, including unique beer cocktails and hard seltzers. A microbrewery on the premises will not only craft specialty beers but also offer guests the opportunity to brew their own.
A staunch advocate of local sports, NOVO Brazil's new digs are equipped with all the bells and whistles for the ultimate game day experience - we're talking about massive video walls, screens galore, and an elaborate sound system. When home teams score, expect an arena-like atmosphere with moving lights and CO2 blasts contributing to the celebration. San Diego Eater highlights the family-friendly vibe, noting the sports bar will launch every day at noon and open earlier for select games, including SDSU men’s basketball and football showdowns.

A representative teased about potential plans for a North County location, which means more spots for Suds and sports could be on the horizon.
