Henry County and Memphis Police are on the hunt for female suspects involved in separate theft incidents at local Sam’s Club stores, with one duo reportedly making off with a purse containing $800 cash, and another woman engaged in pickpocketing. In Georgia, two women allegedly stole a purse at the Sam’s Club on Jonesboro Road in McDonough on Dec. 29, 2023. The Henry County Police Department reported that the suspects lifted a wallet containing about $832 in cash, two debit cards, and the victim's driver’s license. WSBTV detailed the larceny, prompting the police to ask for any information on the suspects' identity.
Meanwhile, in Tennessee, a woman is accused of pocket-picking after she allegedly asked a victim for assistance at a Memphis Sam’s Club on Winchester, on February 21. The Memphis Police Department stated that the woman distracted her would-be victim, asked her to hand an item from a shelf and while the victim’s back was turned — snatched the wallet from her purse. The female suspect was later seen fleeing the scene, and she is believed to also be responsible for another theft at Tillman Station where she reportedly escaped in a black Mercedes. WREG reported that there have been no arrests in these cases, as they remain under active investigation.
The Henry County Police are urging anyone with information to come forward and have provided Detective J.
