A woman lost her life in Phoenix following a shooting incident, authorities confirmed Monday. The shooting occurred late Sunday evening at a home situated near 7th Avenue and Broadway, the Phoenix Police Department reported. FOX 10 Phoenix detailed that upon arrival at the scene around 11:00 p.m., officers discovered the victim with a gunshot wound, and she was promptly rushed to the hospital where she ultimately succumbed to her injuries.
"When officers arrived, they found a female with a gunshot wound," shared a portion of the statement obtained by FOX 10 Phoenix, detailing that despite being transported for emergency medical care. She later died from the injuries she had sustained.
The home was occupied by several individuals at the time of the tragic event, however, police have indicated that their cooperation has yielded "limited information." No suspects have been identified by law enforcement to date, and the identity of the deceased woman remains undisclosed as the investigation proceeds, according to 12 News.
