A 33-year-old woman was gunned down, riddled with bullets on Thursday night. The Atlanta Police Department said that their officers rushed to the scene at 3281 Amhurst Dr. NW after receiving a distress call at about 9:40 p.m., reported the department's official news release. They found the victim, whose identity has not yet been disclosed, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Despite her injuries, the woman remained alert and was able to communicate with first responders as she was whisked away to the nearest hospital for urgent medical care.
The Atlanta PD’s Aggravated Assault Unit took over the investigation, delving into the events that precipitated this brutal assault. The department has yet to disclose whether they have any suspects or motive in connection with the shooting.
