The Alameda Police Department, joining forces with the feds, has cracked a case wide open, nabbing a trio of suspects linked to a gutsy December home invasion spree. The collars come after a meticulous two-month probe sparked by a string of robberies that shook up local residents and had detectives burning the midnight oil.
During the incidents on December 6, 2023, the suspects brazenly barged into three residences, conducting their thievery right under the noses of the unsuspecting victims and leaving one of them nursing injuries. In a display of tenacity and detective acumen, the Alameda PD, with Uncle Sam's own U.S. Marshals at their side, launched a synchronized snatch-back that spanned three counties on February 20.
The seamless sting culminated without a hitch, and a firearm was plucked from the hands of potential future harm. The Santa Rita Jail, where they're booked on a laundry list of charges, including robbery, kidnapping to commit robbery, and assault. As stated by the Alameda Police Department, this collar was a group effort, with a special shout-out to the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office for providing a sharp-nosed K9.
