The Broward Sheriff's Office Missing Persons Unit is reaching out to the community in an effort to locate Rima Gibson, a 45-year-old woman reported missing since February 4. Gibson was last seen in the early hours at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, according to Local 10. With nearly two weeks having passed since her disappearance, detectives are urging anyone with information to come forward.
Gibson, who is around 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs about 115 pounds, was described last wearing a multicolor hooded sweatshirt and beige sweatpants. In detailing her physical characteristics, the Broward Sheriff’s Office noted that she has brown hair, hazel eyes, and a tattoo on her right forearm. Concerns are heightened due to the fact that, according to her family, Gibson has an intellectual disability and medical conditions which require medication. Authorities, in a pressing call for public assistance, have distributed images and a description of Gibson through various communication channels.
