The incident, which occurred on Friday night just past 10 p.m. near Northwest 103rd Street and Seventh Avenue, led to one man being taken to the hospital while another was detained for questioning in connection with the altercation, Local 10 News reported.
Miami-Dade Police along with Miami-Dade Fire Rescue teams quickly responded to the scene where they found the victim with a gunshot wound, he was then transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center, maintaining a stable condition through the critical moments following the incident. The proximity of the shooting in relation to the Sunflex gas station and the on-ramp to I-95 caused disruptions, a perimeter was established, and officials advised motorists to seek alternative routes as access to the on-ramp was restricted, this according to WSVN 7News.
