Miami locals can expect partly sunny skies and warm temperatures to continue dominating the forecast, with the mercury hitting the low-80s throughout the latter part of the week. According to the National Weather Service, light winds from the northeast will set the stage for a high around 80 degrees today, turning east with slight increases in speed.
Evening plans won't be hampered by rain, though mostly cloudy skies are anticipated as temperatures dip to around 70. The east wind will persist through the night, gusting up to 18 mph. In a look ahead to the weekend, as noted by NBC Miami, residents can expect morning temperatures in the upper-60s to near 70, climbing into the low-80s by the afternoon.
While humidity levels are seeing a slight uptick, worries about rain will have to wait — the forecast remains dry for now. The weekend should stay on par with this trend, potentially warming up to mid-80s in some areas of Miami.
However, a front approaching from the north may bring some change come Sunday. This system could stall nearby and is thought to be capable of sparking a storm or two late in the day. Broward County might encounter slightly higher rain chances, while the likelihood of precipitation remains low for the rest of South Florida. Come Monday, the same frontal influence may trigger a few more storms across the region.
