Months after a deadly hit-and-run claimed the life of a motorcyclist in north Phoenix, police have nabbed the driver they say is responsible for the tragic crash. According to the local station AZFamily, the incident occurred on December 14th around 5 p.m. on Thunderbird Road near Point Golf Club Drive.

The victim, identified as 31-year-old Katerina Penrose, was found seriously injured after her motorcycle was clipped by a car performing a left turn. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Penrose later succumbed to her injuries, in a case that left the community searching for answers and justice for months.

On February 4th, the lengthy investigation culminated with the arrest of 73-year-old Paula Miller, as reported by FOX 10 Phoenix. Phoenix Police disclosed that Miller's car allegedly turned left in front of Penrose, forcing the motorcyclist to take action to avoid a collision, an attempt that turned out to be fatal.

Miller now faces severe legal repercussions including charges for leaving the scene of a deadly accident, a felony.
