Phoenix police are desperately seeking the public's help in tracking down a vehicle involved in a fatal hit-and-run that claimed the life of a woman earlier this week. The collision occurred Tuesday night near the cross-section of 33rd and Northern Avenues, according to ABC15. Responding to a call at about 9:30 p.m., officers found the victim with severe injuries, who was rapidly taken to the hospital but did not manage to survive.

The Phoenix police released video footage of the suspect's vehicle believed to have been involved in the accident. As featured in the player above, the video shows an SUV, suspected to be a Ford Explorer, striking 52-year-old Katherine Vittoria. The authorities have said that the SUV would likely have sustained damage to its front left corner and the driver's side headlight.

Witnesses or anyone with knowledge of the incident are urged to come forward. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Silent Witness by calling 480-WITNESS or 480-TESTIGO for Spanish speakers. According to a statement obtained by ABC15, a reward of up to $2,000 is on offer for information that leads to the arrest and/or indictment of the individual responsible.

The community is encouraged to report any sightings of a similarly described vehicle in the area or at local auto body shops.
