
It was a night of celebration for the educators of Broward County as the annual Caliber Awards took center stage at the Lauderhill Performing Arts Center on Friday. According to WSVN, the ceremony honored top teachers, administrators, and staff across the county’s 550 schools, acknowledging the tireless work they pour into their professions.
Dr. Claudia Singkornrat, a science educator from Pompano Beach High School, came into the spotlight as this year's Broward Teacher of the Year. A former chiropractor and now revered for her educational contributions, Singkornrat was among those recognized at the event which unveiled the winners for Teacher of the Year, Principal of the Year, Assistant Principal of the Year, and School-Related Employee of the Year. With pride and the applause of her peers, she accepted the prestigious accolade.
