The Portland Police Bureau is calling on the public to assist in tracking down a suspect tied to multiple armed robberies across the Portland area. Cory J. Jackson, 43, is believed to be the individual behind a series of five armed heists that occurred throughout 2023.
Authorities detailed the string of crimes, starting with an April robbery where Jackson allegedly brandished a firearm at a dispensary on Northwest Nicolai Street. The spree continued with robberies on Southeast Cesar Chavez Boulevard in June, Northeast Sandy Boulevard later that same month, Southeast 28th Avenue in July, and finally on Southeast Johnson Creek Boulevard in September. In each incident, Jackson is reported to have used a gun as his means to commit the offenses.
Aside from his local notoriety, Jackson stands accused of a slew of felony crimes beyond Oregon's borders, with law enforcement officials in Washington, Arizona, and Nevada also sighting the man in relation to similar criminal activities.
Described as a Caucasian male, approximately 5'10" and weighing 170 lbs, Jackson is known for using different wigs as disguises to help him slip past law enforcement awareness. His distinctive physical features include multiple tattoos, with the phrase "HOME SICK" tattooed across his knuckles. This detail, offered by the Portland Police Bureau, could be a key identifier in his apprehension.
The Portland Police Bureau is urging anyone with information regarding Cory J. Jackson's whereabouts to come forward. They stress the importance of community vigilance and cooperation in apprehending this fugitive who poses a serious threat to the public safety. Tips can be submitted anonymously, and individuals with knowledge of Jackson's movements are encouraged to contact local authorities.
