
Commuters in Round Rock faced delays yesterday after crews tackled an oil spill on I-35. The Round Rock Police Department reported the incident, which resulted in the closure of one northbound lane near the Old Settlers Boulevard exit. According to a CBS Austin article, the department posted about the spill at 2:44 p.m.
The oil spill caused, traffic disruptions throughout the afternoon as crews worked diligently to clean up the spill and repair the leak. Drivers were advised to expect delays, and seek alternative routes if possible. An update from the Round Rock Police Department on X account posted at 9:00 p.m. confirmed that all lanes had been reopened.
