
The Wright County Sheriff’s Office has released a report detailing a slew of arrests for various offenses including financial fraud, threats, substance abuse, and multiple violations of domestic abuse orders for protection. The report, covering the period ending February 19, includes a diverse array of incidents across the county, indicating a busy week for law enforcement.
Among the arrests made, Ibrahim Mohamed Abukar, 26, of Minneapolis, was taken in on a warrant for Financial Transaction Card Fraud, and Patience Hadjina Covington, 29, of Waite Park, faces charges for Driving After Revocation. In cases highlighting threats to public safety, Gary Hans Rasmussen, a 50-year-old Newport resident, was arrested for Terroristic Threats, and Harriett Ciara Weyaus, 34, from Minneapolis, was booked for fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle, according to the Wright County official report.

In the realm of substance control, Effie Bernadette Burnette of Minneapolis was arrested on charges involving a controlled substance, matching reports of similar arrests like Wyatt James Moeller, 28, of Buffalo, and Lee Franklin Nelson Jr., 56, of Hutchinson, who faced a more serious accusation of a first-degree controlled substance charge. The report further details domestic disturbances with several individuals being charged with domestic assault, such as Torie Elizabeth Guadagni, 36, of Buffalo, and Krista Lynn Sederberg, 42, of Monticello, who faces additional charges for child endangerment.
Wright County roads were also a focus of the report, with a total of 31 property damage accidents and 5 personal injury accidents being noted. There was also 1 hit and run accident, along with 6 car-deer collisions. Arrests related to driving violations included six for DWI, zero for underage consumption, six for school bus stop arm violations, and a spike in tickets issued for miscellaneous traffic violations numbering 122 this week. Among the DWI arrests were Jesse Scott Martini, 40, of Brainerd, and Robert Raymond Jackson, 41, of Prior Lake, each facing third-degree DWI charges.
