Bourne Facility Manager Charged with Theft of Fireworks, Tampering Evidence in Joint Police OperationSource: Google Street View

Bourne's facility manager found himself on the wrong side of the law this Thursday after lifting a box of fireworks from the Fire Department Headquarters — and going to lengths to cover up the theft. In a joint operation, Bourne and Falmouth Police collar Sean F Feeney Jr, 37, for larceny, evidence tampering, and illegal fireworks possession.

Following a thorough investigation, detectives sprung into action to swiftly apprehend Feeney at around 2:45 PM in Falmouth, MA on an issued warrant. He is accused of moving, then pilfering the fireworks and masterfully altering security footage to hinder police efforts. A Falmouth District Court laid down the charges which jaw-droppingly include: Larceny from a Building, Withholding Evidence, and Unlawful Possession of Fireworks.

The response, led by detectives from Bourne Police paired with their counterparts from Falmouth, executed the arrest warrant with no reported incidents. Feeney now awaits his arraignment in the Falmouth District Court.

Tip of the cap to all the boys and girls in blue that cracked this case wide open. The Bourne Police Department extended its gratitude to all assisting agencies through a public statement, including the diligent Fire Department, the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office Bureau of Criminal Investigation, and their own Falmouth Police Department teammates.

While Feeney sits tight in custody, the investigation is hardly closed. Bourne Police Department confirms they are still putting pieces together, and additional details will be revealed as they become available.
