Residents of Davie, brace yourselves for an infrastructure facelift. The Town of Davie Utilities Department is set to kick off a water main improvement project that'll surely beef up the local water system. Starting late March, Murphy Pipeline, Inc. will be hitting Orange Drive to get down and dirty with some serious plumbing.
The work will involve ripping out the old 8-inch water main and tossing in a brand-new one between Southwest 59th Avenue and Southwest 68th Avenue. Davie Town officials are all about enhancing that fire protection and keeping your showers pressure-strong. But heads up folks, there's bound to be a bit of ruckus—construction equipment isn’t known to whisper. Expect to hear the sweet symphony of progress Monday to Friday, the usual 9 to 5.
Oh, and let's not forget the hustle and bustle on the roads. Lane closures are on the menu, but diners need not leave—the main road artery will keep pumping the traffic through. The whole shebang is supposed to wrap up by August, so pencil that into your calendars.
If you’re ready to fully take the plunge into project details or just want to peek at what's in store, slide over to the Town of Davie's official announcement. Or if you're old school and prefer a chat, give the Utilities Department a ring at 954-327-3742. They're primed to answer your burning questions.
