Fort Lauderdale residents, brace yourselves for some roadwork disruptions. The City of Fort Lauderdale has joined forces with All County Paving to give Hendricks Isle Drive in the Hendricks and Venice Isles neighborhood a much-needed facelift. Starting on March 26, through March 29, the asphalt improvement project will be underway between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., from Tuesday through Friday, according to the city's announcement.
But, with every improvement comes a bit of inconvenience. Residents are urged not to park on Hendricks Isle Drive during these times, and should expect lane closures in both directions during work hours. Traffic control staff will be on the ground, directing the flow of vehicles. The city warns that schedules might shift if bad weather or other unexpected events occur.
For homeowners worried about driveway access, the city has made it clear that crews will keep driveways clear unless they're working right in front. And if they are, they'll coordinate with residents before starting the asphalt madness.
As a heads up to drivers, remember to pay attention to the signs and drive carefully through the construction site.
