The city has teamed up with All County Paving to resurface the road and apply fresh pavement markings in the Hendricks and Venice Isles neighborhood, as per the official statement released on the city's website.
The works are slated to begin on Monday, March 18, 2024, with an anticipated completion date by Friday, March 22. Crews will be on site Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., though this may vary if weather throws a wrench in their plans or other unexpected events come up. Commuters should note that one lane in each direction will be closed during these times, and traffic control personnel will be present to help manage the flow of vehicles.
Local residents will need to adjust their routines somewhat during this period. The City advises all who park on Hendricks Isle Drive to find alternative spots between the work hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. While access to driveways will be maintained, those situated directly in the work zone may temporarily lose entry; city crews say they will attempt to coordinate with the affected residents before they start laying down asphalt.
