A motorcyclist is in critical condition following a hit-and-run collision in Glendale yesterday evening. The Glendale Police Department responded to the scene at 67th Avenue and Mountain View Road just before 6:30 p.m., where they found the injured rider, as first reported by ABC15.
Authorities said the other driver involved in the accident fled the site before police arrived. Taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, the motorcycle rider's current condition has yet to be released. As per the initial investigation details shared by AZ Family, the driver of the vehicle implicated in the incident was later located and also taken to the hospital as a precaution.
The incident caused substantial traffic delays, with the road section near the crash site closed until approximately midnight. The details on what precipitated the crash remain unclear, but officials emphasized early Friday morning that they do not suspect impairment at this time.
