The tragic unraveling of what should be the sanctity of life was witnessed yet again in a Hermitage apartment complex, as detectives delved deep into a double homicide that left two young men dead this past Saturday. According to an announcement from the Metro Nashville Police Department, the victims, aged 18 and 17, were targeted with deadly gunfire near their apartment's breezeway. The younger victim has been identified as Camron McGlothen, a resident of the complex.
As part of their ongoing efforts, detectives are working to piece together not just who but also what drove the assailants to so deliberately target these youths. The elder victim, whose identity is pending next of kin notification, and McGlothen were found unresponsive by Hermitage Precinct officers who quickly responded to the scene after the shooting at around 4:45 p.m. Both suffered multiple gunshot wounds, leaving the community to once again grapple with the stark and relentless reality of gun violence.
The investigation has uncovered that three suspects are believed to be involved in this calculated act of violence. Witnesses described a chilling scene where one suspect approached the victims wearing a ski mask. After the shooting, the suspects made a quick escape, and now law enforcement is calling on the public's assistance to help bring these perpetrators to justice. Anyone with information that could shed light on this despicable act or the individuals involved is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. All tips can help, and informants have the chance to remain anonymous and may qualify for a monetary reward.
