A brazen carjacking at a North Nashville gas station has led to the arrest of a 42-year-old man, authorities say. The incident, which unfolded in the predawn hours of Wednesday, occurred in the 3000 block of Dickerson Pike at a Mapco gas station, according to reports by WKRN.
The victim, whose day began with the mundane act of pumping gas, found himself confronted by Michael Milan, who initially asked for gas money and a drink. After stepping inside the store and returning to his silver Mercedes, the victim was menaced with a knife by Milan and another accomplice, demanding his personal belongings. "The victim began fighting Milan when another man nearby joined in the fight, again demanding the victim hand over his personal belongings," Metro police reported to Kenley Hargett.

The altercation escalated quickly, culminating in the duo making off with the victim's wallet and iPhone. Court documents reveal that one assailant took these items before entering a getaway vehicle, while Milan assumed control of the victim's car and fled the scene. Police action was swift, leading to the recovery of the stolen vehicle and Milan's arrest.
Once in custody, Milan, who is now facing a carjacking charge, was linked to the crime after officers located the Mercedes and detained him without further incident. He identified himself to the officers, with WSMV detailing the official charge against him as carjacking. As for the other man involved in the incident, his identity remains unknown, and authorities are continuing their investigation in pursuit of justice for the shaken victim.
