A heinous sexual assault in Seven Oaks Park has Nashville detectives hustling for leads, seeking the public's help to nab a man who preyed on a defenseless teenager last Thursday. The 15-year-old victim has told the authorities about his ordeal, which has spurred an all-out search for the suspect.
According to the Nashville Metro Police Department, the teen had only been at the park for around 15 minutes when the assailant, described as having freckles and crooked teeth, approached him. After pulling him into a secluded wooded area around 5:30 p.m., the man committed the assault before fleeing the scene, having noticed other park-goers in the vicinity. The entire episode happened after the teen had made the short walk from his home to the park.
The suspect, described as a white male in his fifties, made his escape in a 2000s model Honda Civic sedan—photos of which have been released by the police in their plea for information. He was last seen driving towards Knight Drive. His distinctive features include the freckles, crooked teeth, and he was also wearing a black ball cap, a black zip-up jacket sans hoodie, blue shorts, a gray shirt, and gray and white tennis shoes when he committed the crime.
