The fire was subdued by the fire department; however, extensive damage led to the displacement of at least one individual, and the intensity of the situation could've easily led to more tragic outcomes. Authorities completed knocking down the main blaze and proceeded with overhaul operations to ensure the fire was completely extinguished and to assess the structural integrity, as reported by KXAN.
Officials encouraged locals to steer clear of the area to allow emergency crews to work unimpeded, as per CBS Austin. Although the cause of the fire has yet to be determined, the aftermath of such events always prompts a search for answers, and a thorough investigation will ensue.
The Austin Fire Department’s quick response helped in preventing any casualties, according to their social media updates, which highlighted that the fire, visible upon arrival, had been successfully 'knocked down', crews now confront the aftermath, dealing with the residual dangers that such fires leave in their wake.
