Authorities have since arrested the suspect, 18-year-old Brazion Sheppard, after he was released from the hospital. Sheppard now faces several charges including first-degree murder, burglary, and aggravated assault. According to AZ Family, he was booked into jail on Saturday.

Sheppard's arrest marks a somber development in a case that has shaken the local community, he is being held on a $1.25 million bond.
