A crash on a quiet Morrison County road sent one man to the hospital after his vehicle veered off the path and collided with a tree, authorities said. Gary Brausen, 70, of Pierz, MN, was driving north on 190th Avenue, near Little Falls, when the accident occurred around 9:19 pm on Tuesday, March 12.
The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office reported that Brausen was initially taken to St. Gabriel’s Hospital by Mayo Ambulance before being transferred to St. Cloud Hospital due to his injuries. As per the sheriff’s statement, alcohol may have been a contributing factor in the wreck - a detail that remains under investigation.
Details about Brausen's condition were not immediately available, but the official response indicated a serious crash, prompting a multi-agency response that included the Minnesota State Patrol and the Little Falls Police Department, alongside Mayo Clinic Ambulance services.
The Sheriff’s Office is handling the ongoing investigation into the precise cause of the incident. Despite the apparent involvement of alcohol, no charges have been reported as this case is actively unfolding. According to the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office, the investigation will continue to look into the factors that led to the vehicle leaving the roadway and striking the tree.
