Temperatures are set to reach a high near 61 degrees as South winds move at a gentle pace of 5 to 8 mph. The evening, however, will bring with it, a 30 percent chance of showers mainly before 10pm and a dip in the temperature to a low around 46 degrees. The humidity stands at 66 percent, which may add to the briskness of the evening.
The weather pattern is not due for a change anytime soon, with Friday anticipating rain mainly after 11 a.m. and an 80 percent chance for precipitation. Portland will see similar highs around 61 degrees during the day, dropping to lows near 44 degrees come nighttime. The forecast suggests measurable rainfall, with new precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Intensifying over the weekend, showers are again on the menu for Saturday, carrying a high probability of 90 percent after 11 a.m. Wind patterns are expected to shift as east southeast winds of 7 to 13 mph transform into southwesterly gusts, which could reach as high as 18 mph. As the city braces for consistent showers over the weekend, residents should prepare for lows around 44 degrees on Saturday night — although the likelihood of rain remains, at about 60 percent.
Looking ahead, the NWS forecast indicates no relief from Sunday through to Wednesdays. Rain seems to be the recurring theme with a daily chance of showers, overcast conditions, and steady temperatures in the mid-50s throughout the period.
