The Fiesta Oyster Bake is back with a vengeance, serving up a smorgasbord of music and mollusks this April. This year, the Oyster Bake is boasting a lineup that cuts a broad swath across the musical spectrum, ready to satiate both your taste for sea treats and sweet beats. According to an announcement made via Fox San Antonio, Friday's headliners include Texas country staple Kevin Fowler, Tejano titan Gary Hobbs, and the nostalgic wave riders The Spazmatics.
The party, which started as a modest alumni gathering back in the days of flappers and fedoras, has transformed into a full-blown San Antonio staple. With over 70,000 attendees and more than 7,000 volunteers, the 108th Oyster Bake is expected to be a colossal event. As per the Fiesta tradition, the lineup is spread across four stages, each offering a unique flavor to match the diverse palates of attendees. Each stage has its feature genre, confirmed My San Antonio, from classic rock to country, and even a dash of Tejano for good measure.
Saturday's lineup featuring bands such as Collective Soul and Y'all Out Boy, is sure to keep the vibes high and the oysters flying. Not one to spare the espectáculo, the night concludes with a fireworks display that, weather permitting, will light up the sky in a perfect endcap to the revelries.
If feasting on fresh oysters while twirling to tunes sounds like your idea of a good time, discount tickets hit the market today at a meager 20 bucks. Grab them from the Oyster Bake's website or at local H-E-B stores. Past headliners have included big names like Everclear and Pat Green, setting a high bar that this year's entertainers are gearing up to match. Additional acts, who are itching to get their foot in the door of this famed Fiesta, are set to be announced as the event date inches closer.
