
Authorities are on the lookout for Angel Lauzurique, an 86-year-old man reported missing from Southwest Miami-Dade, with a Silver Alert now issued to hasten his return. Lauzurique, according to the Miami-Dade Police Department, left his home in the 11500 block of SW 84 Street around 11 a.m., Tuesday, and has not since returned. He is said to stand 5 feet 8 inches tall, weigh 160 pounds, and sports brown eyes and gray hair. When last seen, Lauzurique was dressed in a khaki flannel shirt paired with khaki pants.
Officials stress that Lauzurique may be in need of services, adding that he suffers from dementia and diabetes, complications that render his disappearance particularly concerning. A symbol of the urgency, a Silver Alert has been indeed enacted to locate the elderly man. He is believed to be driving a black 2015 Hyundai Veloster, a 3-door model, bearing the Florida license plate ETJF04, as reported by WSVN.
The Miami-Dade Police Department has launched a full-scale search and is seeking the public's assistance.
