
Chaos erupted on Route 495 in Boston when a road rage incident turned violent, resulting in serious injuries for a tractor-trailer driver. According to Massachusetts State Police, the fracas took place on Monday, March 25, 2024, around 1:58 PM, leading to the arrest of two men.
Investigations reveal that the incident occurred on Route 495 south in Bolton. The tractor-trailer driver was allegedly attacked by two male occupants of a Volkswagen GTI hatchback, one of whom reportedly struck him with a hammer. The victim, whose identity has not yet been disclosed, was rushed to Leominster Hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.
The suspects attempted to evade law enforcement by fleeing the scene. However, a BOLO alert was swiftly issued by State Police, and with the help of Marlborough Police officers, the perpetrators were located and detained. A statement from State Police detailed that a third occupant, a female in the hatchback, was not charged. Meanwhile, one of the male suspects received medical attention for injuries sustained during the altercation at Marlborough Hospital.
Law enforcement's quick response led to the capture of the assailants shortly after the attack. The suspects are now facing charges as they await legal proceedings.
