Tragedy struck the West Valley area as two fatal crashes occurred in the early hours of Saturday, leaving two people dead. According to Peoria police, a motorcycle crash near 75th and Grand avenues claimed the life of a man at around 4 a.m. The rider was pronounced dead at the scene, and as of now, the police have not determined if speed or impairment played a role in the crash, 12 News reported.
With detectives scouring the scene for answers, the identity of the victim remains unreleased while the investigation continues. A second unrelated fatal accident took place just over an hour later on the Loop 303 near Bethany Home Road, as per the Arizona Department of Public Safety. Involved in that crash was once again only one vehicle, and sadly, one person in the car was pronounced dead, thrown into the chaos of early morning darkness, ABC15 detailed.
The circumstances surrounding both crashes are still under investigation, with officials looking into the causes of the tragic events. In both cases, no other vehicles were reported to have been involved, indicating solitary collisions that ended in fatalities. As authorities dig deeper, further information is expected to surface about these unfortunate incidents.
Details remain sparse about the occupants of the vehicle in the Loop 303 collision. The Department of Public Safety has not yet disclosed if more individuals were present in the car at the time of the crash, leaving the public waiting for clarity in the midst of questions. They confirm, however, their commitment to uncovering the sequence of events leading to the crash that snatched away another life on the road, ABC15 notes.
