Authorities are urgently seeking the public's help to find an elderly San Marcos man who vanished from his home and is believed to be at serious risk due to medical conditions. The San Diego County Sheriff's Department's San Marcos Station issued an alert after 82-year-old George Hoy was discovered missing on the morning of March 22 after last being seen the previous night.
According to a post from San Marcos City's official X, Hoy was last spotted at around 11:30 p.m. at his residence on the 1500 block of Bitterroot Ct. The tweet provided a description of the missing man: "a white male, gray hair, brown eyes, thin build, 6' tall, and about 150 lbs." He may stand out because he was last seen wearing a green robe, a white shirt, and underwear – no pants. It's believed that when Hoy left, he did not take any cellphones or wallets with him, further putting him at risk and complicating search efforts.

The San Diego Sheriff's Department has voiced concern over Hoy's disappearance due to his unspecified medical conditions and is asking anyone with information to contact authorities immediately. "If you have seen George, please call 9-1-1 immediately," the department stated, emphasizing the situation's urgency.
Should anyone spot an individual matching his description, they are to urgently contact the police as a matter of public safety.
