A West Palm Beach residence turned out to be a storage for more than just family memories as a SWAT team seized 43 pounds of marijuana and a sum of $5,000 in cash last Thursday morning. According to CBS12, the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office conducted the raid around 7 a.m on 56th Place North, which led to the arrest of 40-year-old Marvin Pacheco.
In a disturbing revelation, authorities found over 12 pounds of the illicit greens stuffed away in the kids' playroom. "The marijuana and cocaine were found in packages hidden around the house," the arrest report stated, a detail that highlights the brazen concealment of criminal activities amidst the trappings of domestic life.
Details emerging from CW34 assert that two grams of cocaine, drug ledgers, as well as drug packaging also shared space amongst the family's abode, further stressing the entanglement of Pacheco's alleged dealings with his day-to-day life. The children were reported to be on the premises during the arrest, complicating the narrative with undertones of potential endangerment and moral negligence.
Pacheco is facing charges including two counts of possession of a place with the knowledge the place was being used to manufacture a controlled substance intended for sale or distribution with a minor present. He is also charged with one count of marijuana trafficking of 25 lbs. or more, one count of procession of drug equipment, and a count of cocaine possession with intent to sell. It seems to have been a steep fall for Pacheco, who has now been booked into the Palm Beach County Jail. In a twist of due process, the court has decided to set his bond at a notable $106,000.
