Police are on the hunt for a distinctive Nissan Cube stolen in a violent carjacking at a Nashville McDonald's, authorities revealed Thursday. According to the Nashville Police Department, the cube-shaped vehicle was part of a terrifying ordeal that unfolded Wednesday night at the 2212 Nolensville Pike location. The public's assistance has been enlisted in tracking down the car, which bore Tennessee license plate BDD9667 when it was commandeered by an armed assailant.

The initial attack occurred just after 10:30 P.M. as a 41-year-old man waited in the drive-thru. A gunman approached him, demanding his vehicle at gunpoint, but when the victim attempted to escape, he was shot in the face. Despite his injury, the victim spotted the attacker threatening another car owner, a 39-year-old woman, and in an attempt to save her, he plowed his vehicle into the Nissan Cube injuring the suspect. The perpetrator managed to get up and make a getaway in the Cube.

The brazen violence of the episode has rattled the local community. In the aftermath, the female car owner emerged without physical harm, while the initial victim was rushed to Vanderbilt for medical attention. "He is in stable condition," authorities confirmed.
