Miami locals can look forward to a stretch of pleasant weather, with days of mostly sunny skies and mild evenings ahead. According to the National Weather Service, temperatures today are expected to hit a high near 82 degrees, complimented by an easterly breeze of 10 to 14 mph and gusts pushing upwards of 20 mph.
This morning's low to mid-70s temperatures are a bit above what's typical for April in South Florida. The normal should be closer to 70 degrees around this time of year. However, the jump in thermometer readings has not brought rain clouds with it. The forecast remains dry, with the mild breeze prevailing throughout the day. As reported by NBC 6 Miami, "The reasonable humidity, combined with that breeze, makes for a nice day."
As we head into the night, the mercury will drop to a comfortable low around 71 degrees under partly cloudy skies, with the east wind holding steady around 10 mph. The following days project a similar pattern—mostly sunny with daily highs hovering comfortably in the low to mid-80s and evening lows settling in the low 70s.
But conditions at the beaches won't be entirely sun and games, as there's a note of caution for beachgoers. Another day of elevated rip currents has been put on the docket, which warrants a higher degree of vigilance for those diving into the Atlantic. Later in the week, winds are expected to calm, raising temperatures a notch higher, with the weekend promising perfect conditions for boating and beachcombing.
The heat will not be shy in making its presence known as we cruise into next week, with Monday temperatures potentially brushing against the 90s. And to escalate the summery vibe, "You’ll notice that the humidity is steadily rising as well," warns NBC 6 Miami. So whether you're hitting the sand or just enjoying the warmth from a shady hammock, South Florida is gearing up to offer an April that feels more like a prelude to the dog days of summer.
