Early Sunday morning, a BMW driver was detained following a collision with a pickup truck that sent the vehicle careening into an Oakland Park business, as confirmed by the Broward Sheriff's Office. The crash occurred near East Oakland Park Boulevard and Northeast Third Avenue at approximately 5:30 a.m, where deputies were called to the scene of the two-vehicle incident, NBC Miami reported.
Upon impact with the other vehicle, the white BMW swerved off the road, ultimately striking a nearby building, although miraculously, no injuries were reported in the incident which resulted in property damage, an aftermath which could have been far more devastating had circumstances shifted slightly.
The law enforcement response included officers from the Broward Sheriff's Office, who subsequently took the driver of the BMW in for questioning to ascertain the details surrounding this mishap.
