A sigh of relief swept through Gresham as a missing 14-year-old boy was found safe a day after being reported as a runaway. Kaleb Bolin Moore had vanished from his home Saturday night, prompting a swift response from local authorities.
According to a report from KPTV, Moore returned home safely on Sunday at about 7:30 p.m. Details surrounding the circumstances of his disappearance and how he was found were not immediately released. Gresham Police had earlier expressed concern for his well-being, as the teen had left without his essential anti-seizure medication.
The boy was last seen at his residence in the 2400 block of NE Division Street before he left without permission. During his disappearance, Gresham Police believed he might have been trying to reach a friend's house. It was not confirmed whether this was his destination or if he had made contact with any friends while he was away.
As reported by KATU, the police did not disclose any further details on the situation. Still, they noted that Moore's return was a positive outcome to what could have been a more serious scenario. The community's quick response and attention to the missing person's report were critical in ensuring the teenager's safety.
