
A tragic altercation in the Florida Keys has left one homeless man dead and another charged with murder. According to the CBS Miami, the Monroe County Sheriff's Office arrested Lee Charles Quinn, 37, following an incident in which he reportedly assaulted 54-year-old William Claude Prichett.
The deadly encounter occurred at Marathon Community Park around 4 p.m. on Saturday. Deputies responding to the scene were informed by multiple witnesses that Quinn allegedly unleashed a violent attack on Prichett during a heated argument. After being knocked to the ground, Prichett, who was also homeless, suffered further blows by Quinn.
A bystander, described as an adult male who was also homeless, attempted to intervene but was struck by Quinn in the process, although he did not sustain serious injuries.
