A man was shot and critically wounded in the pre-dawn hours on a South Memphis street, triggering a police investigation. The Memphis Police Department raced to the scene on Rayburn Street shortly before 4 a.m. Thursday, after reports of gunfire were made, according to Action News 5.
Upon arrival, officers found an individual suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim, whose identity has yet to be released, was swiftly transported to Regional One Hospital where he is listed in critical condition. As of now, no suspect information has been disclosed by the authorities, and details surrounding the shooting remain sparse.
