
A pedestrian suffered a serious injury after being struck by a car while jaywalking along El Cajon Boulevard in Rolando, authorities reported. The accident took place early Sunday morning, according to the San Diego Police Department's Watch Commander's log. The 26-year-old man was hit as he crossed the street mid-block by a 20-year-old female driving a 2021 Nissan Altima.
Emergency services responded to the scene, with the victim swiftly transported to a local hospital for the treatment of a fractured pelvis. Officials stated that alcohol did not seem to play a role in this unfortunate incident. Traffic units have arrived shortly to take over and thoroughly investigate the matter.
