Flames tore through a garbage truck in Southwest Miami-Dade on Tuesday, prompting firefighters to hustle to the scene to douse the blaze before it could wreak havoc in the residential neighborhood.
The fire erupted in the early hours near the crossroads of Southwest 157th Court and 139th Street, the inferno consuming the vehicle and threatening to spread further, despite this, no injuries were reported as firefighters managed to suffocate the flames rapidly, leaving the truck charred and in ruins, as per Local 10 News.
According to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, the crew arrived on the scene just before 8 a.m. to encounter the garbage truck fully engulfed but were able to extinguish the fire quickly using hose lines, mitigating the risk to the surrounding area.
