West Palm Beach's Mounts Botanical Garden is rolling out the welcome mat for summer visitors with a sun-soaked deal. Friends of the Mounts Botanical Garden has announced it's slashing entry prices and extending its hours through Labor Day. From June 1, locals and tourists alike can experience the verdant, 20-acre oasis at a fraction of the usual cost.
"Summer at the Garden will be packed with special events, horticultural workshops, and healthy activities, so our special summer hours and lower admission prices are extra encouragement for visitors of all ages to come out and Discover, Join, Shop, and Volunteer,” said Mounts Interim Co-Director Misty Stoller, in a statement obtained by the Palm Beach County Government's newsroom. To beat the heat, the garden is looking to open its doors earlier, from 9 am to 3 pm, Tuesday through Sunday, with the last entry at 2 pm.
The new admission rates are easy on the wallet: $15 for adults, with discounts for seniors, college students, and military members knocking the price down to $12. Youth between ages 6 to 17 get in at even leaner rates of $7, and there's no charge for the tiny tots under age 6. These summer savings come as a welcome reprieve for many seeking leisure in the beauty of nature without the burden of steep costs.
But the deals don't just stop at reduced rates. Palm Beach County residents can look forward to continuing to enjoy FREE entry on the first Wednesday of every month, while pups get to sprawl in the flora during Dogs' Days in the Garden for a nominal $5, unless their owners are members. All they need to do is show actual proof of residency," as detailed on Mounts' official website.
With the summer sun high and the plants in full bloom, Mounts Botanical Garden is setting itself up to be a sanctuary for those looking to escape the bustle of the city.
