
A grim scene unfolded in a Lauderhill apartment complex Thursday night, where a shooting left one man dead and another wounded, officials said. The violence erupted just before the 10 p.m. hour at the Cascavita complex, located at 2041 Northwest 43rd Terrace. Lauderhill Police, swiftly responding to the chaotic scene, discovered two males with gunshot wounds, according to WSVN.
Emergency responders rushed to aid the victims, "It’s going to be a male gunshot to the back, multiple to the stomach. One chest, One stomach," revealed a 911 dispatcher. Both individuals were transported to area hospitals, but one tragically did not survive the ordeal, reported NBC Miami. His death was confirmed after medical staff at Broward Health Medical Center pronounced him dead, the man's identity remains under wraps pending family notification.
The second victim, who managed to make his way to Florida Medical Center, is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Police have indicated that the two men were acquainted.
