Palm Beach County is calling all book lovers to dive into the pages of their favorite stories this summer with the 2024 Summer Reading Program, "Adventure Begins at Your Library." The program kicked off on Monday, June 3 and runs through Friday, July 26, offering residents of all ages the chance to win prizes simply for enjoying the act of reading, as reported by the Palm Beach County Library System.

Interested participants are encouraged to swing by any of the county library locations to sign up and snag a bingo card, and once they read and participate in selected activities they can complete the bingo card, then they stand to win all sorts of prizes from plaid picnic blankets and blue lantern flashlights to stuffed Dewey owls and themed blankets designed for the youngest of readers.

Prizes are up for grabs on a first-come, first-served basis, so bibliophiles should get moving if they want to snag the goods; additionally, all who return a filled card enter a drawing for a grand prize, the details of which are yet to be unveiled. The drawing for the grand prize winner will take place after the program concludes at the end of July; all according to the Palm Beach County official press release.

This summer adventure not only fosters a love for reading but also offers an opportunity to explore the variety of services provided by the Palm Beach County Library System, participants can sign up now, and even check out a listing of events and activities for the Summer Reading Program by visiting the Library System's summer reading website.
